Bucolic, breathtaking views or festive, let’s list some beautiful addresses in the hot summer hours to find the terrace of your choice between Geneva and Neuchâtel.

Geneva

Terrasse By Marti – Feet in the water

©Terrasse By Marti

Every hour has its own atmosphere on the Terrace By Marti where a vacation atmosphere reigns. Located on the Quai du Mont-Blanc, with its feet in the water, this terrace is a meeting place for lake lovers. In the morning, the atmosphere is soft, we like to take our coffee-croissant and read the newspaper. At the time of the after-work this place is taken of assault and more desire to leave it and it is comprehensible! It serves a simple and delicious cuisine with poke-bowls, different foccacias and homemade tapas. Small paradise on the waterfront

RoofTop 42 – 100% urban and trendy

©RoofTop 42

This address is one of the hippest in Geneva where the view of the harbour is unobstructed. It is on the famous rue du Rhône at number 42 that the Roof Top 42 restaurant is located, with its classic look at lunchtime and which transforms itself in the evening into a mythical place of the trendy Genevan parties. On the menu, an elaborate cuisine but also foodies suggested for the after-work. The suite of cocktails creations imagined by the Chef Barman and live music or international Dj’s.

The hotel restaurant Parc des Eaux-Vives – Calm and pleasure

©Parc des Eaux-Vives

It is without doubt the quietest terrace, far from the noise of the city, in the heights of the Eaux-Vives park, in the middle of nature and overlooking Lake Geneva, a place full of history where time seems to have stopped. Chef Renaud Marin will seduce you with his tasty and seasonal cuisine served from lunch to dinner. We recommend the fantastic Sunday brunch!

Nyon

La Roulotte – Bohemian and gourmet

©La Roulotte

Who could imagine that behind the train station of Nyon hides a unique and rare place where a bohemian restaurant was improvised. A trailer refurbished to create a restaurant as surprising as good. Cozy atmosphere, tables lit by candlelight in the evening to enjoy a friendly cuisine with local and seasonal products. A warm moment guaranteed!

Lausanne

La brasserie de Montbenon – Style and coolness

©Brasserie de Montbenon

Located in the middle of magnificent gardens with a breathtaking view of the mountains and the lake, this splendid building erected in 1908, shares its address with the Casino, a high cultural place occupied by the Swiss Film Archive. The magic of the place works as soon as we arrive, first of all by the warm welcome and the delicious and comforting Swiss cuisine. Victim of its success, we recommend to book in advance.

La Folie Voltaire – snack by excellence

©La Folie Voltaire

A small kiosk transformed into a café, a real haven of peace shaded by the greenery of the Mont-Repos park. An ideal place to have your morning coffee or tea time to taste delicious homemade pancakes or a nice selection of ice creams, they also serve some nice plates for lunch. It is a paradise for families, as this address is known for its playground in Lausanne.

Le Lacustre – Friendly and relaxed

©Restaurant Lausanne

There is a vacation atmosphere on this terrace in Ouchy where friends like to meet to watch the boats pass by and moor on the quay in front of them, the sunset behind the Alps and all this in a relaxed atmosphere. Just like the place, we offer a cuisine without fuss, but unforgettable, like its wood-fired pizzas, the Chef’s salads, beautiful pieces of meat or fish from the lake. A nice moment in perspective.

Neuchâtel

Summer Bay – Terrace at the water’s edge

©Summer Bay

We know the already mythical Palafitte hotel and restaurant, but perhaps a little less about its waterfront terrace, the Summer Bay. It is open from May to September to create a “beach club & tropical” atmosphere. You will come for its spectacular view, facing the lake of Neuchâtel, but also for its bewitching cocktail menu signed Belvédère. We recommend the Thursday afterwork, for its fresh cocktails, but also a delicious barbecue to share with friends.
