111 Lieux des Alpes Vaudoises à ne pas manquer
Benjamin Amiguet & Marc Voltenauer

You thought you knew the region of the Waldensian Alps? “111 Places in the Vaud Alps not to be missed” will prove you wrong! It is a book highlighting unusual places, 111 to be exact! At the helm of this guide are two authors: Marc Voltenauer and Benjamin Amiguet, usually known for their detective stories, and more particularly for two youth detective stories set in the Vaud Alps. With this brilliant book, the two authors wanted to share their love for the region. It is a guidebook built a bit like an intrigue, with the history of a place, its surprising anecdotes and the meeting with singular inhabitants. We learn, for example, that under a mountain hides the largest military fort in Europe, that Sissi, the Empress of Austria, had bequeathed all her poems to the President of the Swiss Confederation, which had been embargoed for 60 years, or how the cheese from the alpine pasture would take the cable car. This book is full of fascinating stories, and really makes you want to go and discover these 111 places!

La Suisse zéro dénivelé
Katrin Gygax

A guide for those who enjoy cycling, taking time to look at beautiful landscapes but also to have delicious breaks. Whether flat or downhill, these 33 day trips follow rivers, offer picnic stops at spectacular lakes or cross green valleys.
All regions of Switzerland are represented, from the Engadine to Ticino and from Lake Constance to Lake Geneva. The Alps can be discovered during quiet descents. A varied guide to take the time to admire the panoramas that make Switzerland so famous.
The Swiss-Canadian writer Katrin Gygax has been cycling since she took over her brother’s Peugeot 10-speed bike at the age of 9. She first rode in the hills west of Vancouver, where she grew up, then the plains and hills of Europe. She has been flat-tracking around Switzerland every summer since 2009 and has collected her favorite routes in this book.
