Leather, this season’s new second skin
Long reserved for winter wardrobes, leather is breaking free and taking centre stage in the spring–summer 2026 collections. Thinner, more fluid, sometimes almost airy, it is becoming a style material in its own right, capable of elegantly hugging the body while structuring the silhouette. Designers are playing with volumes, cuts and colours to offer a modern, expressive and resolutely fashionable leather.
Leather dresses: power and femininity
The leather dress is becoming one of the season’s key pieces. At Versace, the black leather midi corset dress celebrates sculptural femininity, striking a balance between unapologetic glamour and controlled sensuality.
Loewe’s talent for leather is evident in a mini dress that is simple yet intensely desirable, while Givenchy dares to offer a red leather dress, a true statement piece that electrifies the mid-season wardrobe.

Trousers & skirts: structured elegance
Alaïa elevates leather with low-rise trousers featuring rounded lines, creating an architectural look. A statement piece designed to magnify movement and the body.
When it comes to skirts, Tory Burch offers an apple green leather pencil skirt, the perfect embodiment of modern, understated chic. Worn with a flowing shirt or minimalist top, it transitions seamlessly between seasons without losing any of its elegance. Ferrari presents its skirt/shorts, a pleated, ultra-supple lambskin leather design with a defined waist, inspired by the Officina Ferrari aesthetic.

Tops & sculptural pieces: couture leather
At Balenciaga, leather takes on a graphic look with a burgundy crop top. A bold piece that makes a statement.
Givenchy channels the same spirit with a leather bra top with an almost futuristic aesthetic. A daring design that subverts the codes of tailoring to transform leather into a true object of desire.

Jackets & coats: designer leather in a range of colours
At Fendi, leather takes on a more casual look with a soft lambskin jacket that strikes the perfect balance between urban style and relaxed chic. Burberry revisits the leather coat in a bold and unexpected turquoise version, while Prada offers us a pretty jacket in a bright colour for the warmer months.
